This question depends on what you are comfortable with to ride in! During our summer months we prefer to ride with what is often referred to as airflow or mesh gear. This is cool lightweight protective gear ideal for our hot summer’s conditions. To compliment these when it gets colder (it can cool down especially when you ride in the high lying areas) we advise you to bring inners/liners or a fleece top to wear underneath until conditions warms up. Lightweight rain gear might also be a good alternative to use. Bring it with – it can keep you warm or dry! You might get through the entire tour without seeing any rain. Rain gear can double up as a layer to keep the unexpected chill out when necessary. We practice the layer-clothing technique: we find that a warm polar fleece top doubles up as something to wear under riding gear on cooler days, as well as at night. If you visit us during winter or near the end of winter going into spring, your winter riding gear will do. For most riders from Europe this would be their normal riding attire they use for everyday riding purposes.
